Cold-drilled from stainless steel, countersunk screws have a larger diameter top, which can be rounded or hexagonal, allowing tools such as screwdrivers or wrenches to turn the screw. The protruding top also prevents the screw from drilling too deeply through the material and increases the pressure of the screw on the material. Countersunk head screws can often be removed or re-socketed at will without loss of efficiency, provide greater strength than nails, and can be reused. Various sizes of these parts are available on request.
